Salak Tinggi prices are for parking only. Add the KLIA Transit fare - RM4.90 per adult each way to KLIA T1 or T2 (October 2026).
Which airport car park should you use?
- KLIA Terminal 1, Short Term Car Park (Blocks A, B and C) - walk straight to the terminal. Best for pick-ups, drop-offs and short stays. The daily maximum makes it expensive for long trips.
- KLIA Terminal 1, Long Term Car Park @ Blocks A & B - also next to the terminal, with a lower daily charge from day 4. Worth it if you want to walk to the terminal on a longer trip.
- KLIA2, Gateway@klia2 - the KLIA2 car park, linked to the terminal through the Gateway mall. Its daily maximum drops on longer stays.
- Long Term Car Park (LTCP) - one car park for both terminals, with a free shuttle bus. The cheapest on-airport option for most multi-day trips.
- Salak Tinggi Park & Ride - off the airport, next to Salak Tinggi KLIA Transit station. Cheapest for one or two travellers on a longer trip; take KLIA Transit to the airport (about 7 minutes to T1, 10 minutes to T2).
Rule of thumb by trip length
- A few hours (pick-up or drop-off): the terminal car park - KLIA Short Term or Gateway@klia2.
- 2 to 8 days: the LTCP usually beats both terminal car parks.
- 9 days or more from KLIA2: Gateway@klia2’s daily maximum falls sharply after day 4, so it can end up cheaper than the LTCP. Check with the calculator.
- Travelling alone or as a couple: Salak Tinggi plus the train is often the cheapest of all. For a group of four, four train tickets each way can cost more than the parking you save.

- Paying: the KLIA and KLIA2 car parks take Touch ‘n Go, credit or debit card, cash and e-wallet.
- Lost ticket: the penalty is high (RM100 at KLIA2), so photograph your ticket or use Touch ‘n Go.
- Using Salak Tinggi for an early flight? The first KLIA Transit train leaves Salak Tinggi at 5.32am and reaches KLIA T2 at 5.42am. Trains run every 15 minutes in weekday peak hours and every 30 minutes at other times, so leave a margin.
